Who is Half a Chance?

Half a Chance is a new husband and wife Americana duo residing in the southwest of the UK. Hailing from two different countries - Peter Dixon from Britain and Joey Clarkson from Canada - the pair brings a unique blend of musical backgrounds and experiences to their sound.

Prior to forming Half a Chance, Peter served as a Saxophonist in the Band of the Scots Guards (yes, he had to wear a funny hat!) and played bass guitar for The Blue Highways, bringing a wealth of  training and performance experience to the new duo. Joey, meanwhile, has established herself as a singer/songwriter with over 17 years of releasing music that has been featured on programs such as London Live TV, CBC and BBC Radio.

Their performance style has been described as captivating and engaging, with critics drawing comparisons to Fleetwood Mac and the War on Drugs.

Half a Chance released their debut single ‘Little Problems’ on November 8th 2024, which was produced with CMA Professional Tier Producer Tyler Spicer at Namm Studios in Trowbridge, UK, mixed in Nashville by Todd Peterson, and mastered by 2X Grammy Nominee Sam Moses at Moses Mastering in Nashville.

Joey and Peter were recently featured on an episode of BBC’s Escape to the Country and are looking forward to recording a collection of new music, with tour dates planned across the UK, and west coast of Canada for the summer of 2025.
